Why Exfoliation Matters

Hello Blemfree Lovers!

Today I would like to introduce you to the process of exfoliation, which is the removal of the oldest dead skin cells on the skin's outermost surface. Exfoliation can be achieved through either mechanical means, usually using an abrasive or through chemical means with the use of substances such as salicylic acid or glycolic acid. The word exfoliation comes from the Latin exfoliare, to strip off leaves. For the purpose of this blog, I would like to connect the Blemfree routine to mechanical exfolation with the use of a specificl abrasive- the Cleansing Spheres! When used in conjunction with the Cleansing Wash Concentrate, it leaves the epidermis looking smooth, fresh and glowing, which is what we all want, right? Exfoliation must be done carefully, though. Be sure not to scrub to vigorously as to not tear the skin or raw tissue and expose it to bacteria or other infection. Light, circular motions should do most of the work for you due to the abrasiveness of the agent. Incorporate this method conscientiously and you will see bright, brand new skin rapidly.

Until Next Time,

Sabine
